LANDMARKS POSTER
For this project I was tasked with creating an infographic based poster for the small town of Idyllwild-Pine Cove, California. This project was meant to be an infographic display of important and interesting information surrounding the town as well as feature a major landmark or structure as the focus for the design. The project was created with the intention of bringing on tourism and providing interesting information for tourists. The goal of this project was to create a successful infographic based poster that utilized photos, factual information, statistics, and other models/graphs.
Mood Board & Research

Concepts and Roughs
Diving into the design with some rough concepts and imagery the focus taken away from my research and moodboard was heavily reliant on earthy tones like green and brown as well as imagery such as forests and large mountains of which Idyllwild is plentiful in. There is a particular mountain that stands strong loominging in the distance in the town in Idyllwild. It is this mountain that I decided would be the center focus of the poster.
When creating the two main concepts I found that incorporating a color outside of the earth tone color scheme added a lot of depth and a more iconic poster look, similar to that of the national parks. It was this color which now includes the golden yellow that I decided to go with. I felt as though the concept was the overall stronger one and one that took a lot more time and detail as it was a hand drawn rendition of the poster.
